Toggle Chaos Realms

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (3)

The Chaos Rift mechanic of Total War: Warhammer III’s campaign isn’t universally beloved and this mod might be right up your alley if you’re among those who’d rather not have to bother with the Chaos Gods’ domains. It adds a handy toggle that lets you disable rifts, offering the closest thing to a sandbox campaign, at least before Immortal Empires arrives. Find it on Steam Workshop.

Great Bastion Takes No Attrition

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (4)

A simple but needed mod if you fancy playing as the defensively-minded Grand Cathay, it removes the siege attrition for all tiers of the Great Bastion. Get it from Steam Workshop.

Better Camera Mod

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (5)

As the title suggests, this Warhammer III mod increases the camera’s heights while adding shortcuts to enable a more cinematic experience. Grab it from Steam Workshop.

One Button Respec

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (6)

If you ever feel that you could have distributed the skill points of any Lord better, this mod has got you covered. That’s because it adds a button to the character skills panel that lets you reset all spent skill points for the price of 1000 gold or favor. Subscribe to it on Steam Workshop.

Radious Total War Mod - Warhammer 3

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (7)

The Radious Total War Mod counts among the most awaited additions to Warhammer III’s Steam Workshop, considering its lengthy legacy of reworking factions, adding loads of new units, and making Creative Assembly’s titles feel even bigger. The mod’s first version adds 20 new units for Kislev and 23 for Cathay, rebalances building costs and duration across the board, overhauls garrisons, and brings a suite of balance changes for multiple units. Support for it will continue, if its past iterations are anything to go by, eventually extending to Immortal Empires. It’s also a chunkier mod and you’ll find part 1, part 2, and part 3 on Steam Workshop.

SFO: Grimhammer III

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (8)

SFO: Grimhammer III is another big name in the Total War modding scene and a go-to mod for many. Its first release for Warhammer 3 gives units more health, and reduces the rate at which fatigue is lost, gives the players a slightly higher chance to win autoresolve battles, and more. Future versions will likely improve on this foundation and you can subscribe to the mod on Steam Workshop.

Decline Diplomacy

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (9)

This mod adds a handy little button that enables you to easily decline all diplomatic proposals minus ultimatums. Doing so allows you to more quickly get through the game’s turns when you don’t want to deal with any of the AI’s requests. Subscribe to it on Steam Workshop.

Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (10)

Immortal Empires’ main strength is the sheer amount of races fighting on its massive map, creating a significant amount of potential encounter variety. This mod lets some of that variety permeate into your troop recruiting process. Install it and, once a race is defeated, its legendary lords become available in the recruitment pools of other races. Initially, this only works for races of the same subculture (Lizardmen can only recruit defeated Lizardmen lords) but plans are in place to have those limits removed in the future. Find it on Steam Workshop.

Console Commands (Modding Tool)

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (11)

This Warhammer 3 mod gives you more control over your campaigns by introducing console commands. Whether you need a bit more gold, a character murdered, or a region stolen from underneath your pesky rival, you’ll likely find an easy way to do it by subscribing on Steam Workshop.

Mixu's Legendary Lords/Asset Pack/Mixer

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (12)

This suite of mods brings additional legendary lords and units which you can field, extending the already impressive lifespan of the game. The new characters come with new sets of bonuses that make them feel like natural additions to their respective factions. The base mod requires the asset pack, while Mixer unlocks all factions in Realms of Chaos and Immortal Empires campaigns (although it doesn’t work in multiplayer). If you’ve played through all your desired campaigns and can’t wait until the next DLC, this should be right up your alley.

OvN Lost Factions: Albion

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (13)

OvN Lost Factions: Albion is a mod that adds the new race of Albion to Total War: Warhammer III. Coming with two playable factions – the Order of the Truthsayers and Host of the Raven-Queen –, it boasts a custom roster whose units draw from the tabletop and lore. The race fights to rebuild the Waystones on Albion while defending against invasions. Succesfully doing so, grants them bonuses like a mist that damages enemies. Waystone Markers can be built to boost the effects of provincial commandments, while the Albion Storm mechanic grants a random chance for a storm to occur, damaging enemies and creating custom battle weather. Subscribe to it on Steam Workshop.

OvN Lost Factions: Fimir

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (14)

Part of the same series as the mod above, OvN Lost Factions: Fimir introduces the new Fimir race to Total War: Warhammer III, giving players two new factions to control in Immortal Empires and custom battles. Led by Kroll, the Tendrils of Doom faction’s unique mechanic sees it conquering and constructing temples that offer great boons while aiding the leader in their pursuit of godhood. With Skattach at its helm, Rancor Hold has access to a revamped version of the Gifts of Chaos mechanic. The race also boasts a custom roster that draws from the tabletop and lore. You can find the mod on Steam Workshop.

Moulder's Menagerie

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (15)

Moulder’s Menagerie makes the Skaven’s roster more monstrous than it currently is by adding creatures such as the Chimaerats, Burrowing Behemoth, or Stormfiends to the mix. There’s a nice mixture of single-entity and regular units that fulfill different roles on the battlefield. Looking at the Stormfiends, they come in both ranged and melee versions, the former having access to weapons like Ratling Cannons, and Windlaunchers while the latter boast Grinderfists, Shock Gauntlets, and other deadly tools. Subscribe to it on Steam Workshop.

Unique Faction UI

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (16)

Total War: Warhammer III’s unified UI aesthetic might be a bit too boring (or red) for some and this is where the Unique Faction UI mod steps in. Using it, you can give races different UI colors and elements that better suit them, making campaigns more pleasing and varied to the eye. Find it on Steam Workshop.

Immortal Empires Expanded

The Best Total War: Warhammer 3 Mods (17)

The Immortal Empires map is already gargantuan by itself but, if you find yourself wishing there was even more ground to paint with the blood of your enemies, this mod should be right up your alley. A straightforward addition to our list, it brings 58 new regions and 20 new provinces to the combined campaign’s map. It even fills them with 18 placeholder factions to wipe out or ally with. Find it on Steam Workshop.
